Account for J-Credit management/transfer
Foreign organizations, which are not legally registered in Japan, can also open accounts in the J-Credit Scheme Registry and hold, buy, sell, transfer and retire J-Credits. Please be advised that:
- J-Credits are created from GHG emission reductions/removals implemented and are designed to offset GHG emissions occurred within Japan; and
Managing and transferring J-Credits

Opening an account
Please submit a completed and signed Account Opening Application Form and other required documents for foreign organizations. No electronic procedure is available.

A copy of the applicant's Certificate of Incorporation or Memorandum and Articles of Association (If it is not in English, its certified English translation is also required.)
A copy of the applicant's official document in English, which authorizes the application for opening an account
A copy of the passport (front page and identification page) of the applicant's account manager to be designated
|How to submit||Please send a completed and signed Account Opening Application Form and other required documents by postal mail (not by email).|
|Schedule||An application accepted by 5:30 p.m. (JST) every Thursday is processed to open an account in the next week. It takes some time to deliver the account user ID and log-in password by postal mail (not by email) sent after opening the account.|
